Next Meeting

ROUTINING AND THE ART OF MAGIC

The SAM Assembly 138 Alliance of Illusionists will meet on Thursday April 20, 2023 at 7:00 pm, the Illusion Warehouse, 3917 McCart Ave, Fort Worth.

The meeting is slated to be filled with performances including performances by Hare Evison and William “Wee-bo” Beaty.

In addition, Bruce Chadwick will lead the main core activity with a presentation on "Routining and the Art of Magic."

The Executive Committee will meet before the meeting at 6:00 pm. All elected officers should be in attendance, and any other dues-paid-up member of the club may attend at well. Visitors may not attend Executive Committee Meetings.

 

 

National SAM Beginnings

The Society of American Magicians was founded on May 10, 1902 in Martinka’s famous magic shop in New York City. The SAM is now the oldest and most prestigious magical society in the world. For over a century it has promoted the ideals shared by Kellar, Houdini, Thurston and more than 47,000 others world-wide who have held membership in the society. 

National SAM Benefits

Members of the national SAM organization receive a host of benefits including a subscription to the monthly periodical called M-U-M, a full-color premier magic magazine. Members can access the SAM Media Library, may attend the national SAM magic convention every July, and receive a large host of other benefits and services.

National SAM Service

The SAM offers the opportunity to unite and associate with leaders in the World of Magic – not only professionals, but amateurs, manufacturers, magic dealers, book authors and magic collectors. The organization's forum promotes discussions, lectures, research, performances, and exchange of magic secrets within the magic community.

Local Meeting Information

The SAM Assembly 138 Alliance of Illusionists normally meets on the third Thursday of each month, 7:00 pm at the Illusion Warehouse retail magic shop. The facility features a theater, museum, magic shop, and workshop facilities of Bruce Chadwick Illusion Fabrications. The shop is located at 3917 McCart Ave, Fort Worth, Texas 76110.
